Design Engineers

Export Sales Controller

Duties & responsibilities
  • Preparation of all ROW / Europe shipping and banking documentation and complete liaison with all external bodies involved, specifically: Letter of Credit, Certificate of Origin and EUR1.
  • To prepare ROW / Europe quotations for all overseas customers.
  • Ensure all quotations are accurate in all aspects and are issued in line with the agreed target dates.
  • To ensure export procedure documents are followed and updated where applicable and report on the status of quotations to the Export Operations Manager.
  • To provide project management and support to customers during the sales and shipping process.
  • Recording data on the appropriate SAP and CRM system..
  • To acknowledge receipt of enquiries identifying the proposed return date of all our information.
  • To liaise with overseas customers, distributors and sales agents.

Requirements & Experience
  • Proven previous experience with export documentation is essential.
  • Previous sales administration experience using a CRM system.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word.
  • A high degree of communication skills for internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Language skills would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Firm, polite and confident approach when dealing with people.




Production Control / MRP Analyst

We are currently recruiting for an MRP Analyst to join our Production Control team.

The role will involve scheduling sales orders for production and monitoring the schedule by controlling production orders for manufacture.


Duties & responsibilities
  • Create and maintain material masters.
  • Schedule sales orders for production in line with customer requirements.
  • Monitor production schedule and adjust as required by control of production orders.
  • Liaise with the Sales Departments and/or Installation/Maintenance Departments.
  • Control measurements for reporting of performance in key business areas.
  • Liaise with the Finance Department when required.

Requirements & Experience
  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous i.e. Production Controller/Scheduler/Planner ideally from an engineering / manufacturing background.
  • Proficiency with IT is essential with specific regard to a SAP system and Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Possess a Financial awareness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Organised and detail oriented and have an ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with customers and all internal departments.
  • Confident decision maker capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • A pragmatic and logical approach to problem solving.

Manufacturing Engineer
This vacancy has arisen in the Engineering and Production Department to join a busy team of Engineers within the Company. This is a full time role which will provide administration support to the Operations Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the Factory.

Principal duties & responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate controlled engineering change activities for manufacturing activities and processes.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and work streams to identify areas that could benefit from controlled change(s) and efficiency improvements.
  • Creating robust methods of manufacture in conjunction with the Design teams with a ‘Design for Manufacture’ mind-set.
  • Create Material Masters and material master MRP fields.
  • Provides manufacturing costing information by calculating production labour, material costs; reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements.
  • Demonstrate Process Improvement skills including the use of ‘Lean’ tools and processes to drive increased manufacturing productivity, efficiency and product safety.
  • Support productivity measurement and associated improvement activities.
  • Assist with nesting and programming of CNC Plasma machines.
  • Any further related tasks as defined by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications & abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
  • The ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of various types of manufacturing processes.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Experienced in using SAP/MRP systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.




Sales Administrator


Duties & responsibilities
  • Producing Sales quotations from customer and Sales Executives information.
  • Supporting Sales Executives staff with administrative and technical queries for customer requirements.
  • Providing first point of contact of inbound telephone customer service to an extensive customer base.
  • Maintaining and updating all relevant opportunities and quotation information on the CRM system.
  • Providing support to Site Engineers for sales of recommended works.
  • Liaising with technical departments to ensure and give correct information to customers.

Requirements & Experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting customer relationships.
  • CRM knowledge is essential.
  • Proficiency with IT software ideally having experience with SAP.
  • The ability to problem solve and interact with other members of staff is crucial.
  • Can do attitude and a readiness to challenge.


The position is full time for 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, and is based at head office in Nottinghamshire.
