Along with our environmental accreditations, we also have a commitment. As a business, Abacus Lighting is committed to significantly reducing the impact our business has on the planet through the prevention, reduction and mitigation of use of natural resources and production of waste and pollution. 

Our products utilises LED technology for its luminaires, delivering high-quality illumination with exceptionally low energy consumption. By using significantly less power than traditional lighting sources and offering a much longer operational lifespan, LED solutions help reduce carbon emissions, minimise waste, and support long‑term sustainability goals. This commitment to energy‑efficient lighting enables Abacus Lighting to provide environmentally responsible products that contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.

We recognise that it is not yet possible to eliminate our carbon footprint, however we try and mitigate this by purchasing carbon credits from airlines at the point of booking to offset business air travel and purchase carbon credits from Oblong Trees to offset gas, electricity and vehicle usage.

RoHS
With effect from July 2006, RoHS makes manufacturers responsible for eliminating specified hazardous or toxic substances being used in manufactured products such as lead, mercury, cadmium and polybrominated biphenyls. A full list is contained in the directive. Abacus complies fully with the requirements of RoHS.
